Shae and Brittany
Shae and I have been dating since sophomore year of high school, so we were thrilled to finally have this day with all of our family and friends. When we first started planning our wedding, we both agreed that we wanted to aim for a timeless look. Our ceremony was held in a nearly 100-year-old church in Princeton, NJ that sits right across the street from the University campus. For dinner and dancing, our guests joined us at a historic mansion nestled on the water in Bensalem, PA. All of our wedding stationery was handwritten by a wonderful calligrapher whose work we found online, and our centerpieces sat in gold candelabras with my grandmother’s vintage crystals woven into the bouquets. Our bridesmaids chose a sleek black gown, while our groomsmen opted for sharp navy suits and a simple black tie. Since both our ceremony and reception venues had such rich histories, I wanted a classic ivory gown to celebrate the day. I fell in love with my gown’s cascading tulle skirt and added detachable chiffon sleeves and a bit of sparkle with a jeweled belt to truly make it my own.
